Product definition
What Is a Reusable SpO₂ Sensor Cable?
A reusable SpO₂ sensor cable is a multi-use assembly that forms part of the electrical connection between a compatible pulse-oximetry sensor and monitoring device.
Depending on the system, the product may be a complete reusable sensor assembly, a patient cable, an adapter or an extension cable. Reusable status depends on the complete finished design and its approved handling or cleaning instructions; it cannot be established from the jacket material alone.
Available constructions
Reusable SpO₂ Cable Configurations
The required assembly is selected from the target monitor, pulse-oximetry technology, patient-side interface and approved intended use.
Complete project-defined cable and sensor constructions for compatible monitoring equipment.
Reusable intermediate connections between compatible disposable or reusable sensors and a monitor.
Equipment-specific extensions using approved connectors, pin assignments and cable lengths.
Custom assemblies developed from an interface drawing, compatible reference or physical sample.

Design priorities
Reusable SpO₂ Cable Design for Signal Integrity and Repeated Handling
Technology and Pinout Control
The connector map and electrical path are documented for the exact pulse-oximetry technology and target monitor rather than inferred from connector appearance.
Signal-Path Construction
Core arrangement, conductor construction and optional shielding are selected according to the system-level electrical and interference requirements.
Flexibility and Strain Relief
Cable materials, molded transitions and connector exits are configured for the approved routing, bending and handling conditions.
Cleaning-Method Compatibility
Material and construction compatibility must be assessed against the cleaning or disinfection method specified by the finished-device manufacturer.
Equipment integration
Reusable SpO₂ Cable Compatibility Is Model-Specific
Similar-looking SpO₂ connectors may use different pin assignments, sensing technologies, identification components or patient-side interfaces. A connector shape, equipment brand or the phrase “compatible SpO₂ cable” is not enough to establish fit or function.
Provide the exact monitor model, compatible cable or sensor part number, connector image, interface drawing, pinout or physical sample for review.
Third-party brand names, when supplied by a customer, are used only as compatibility references. Final compatibility must be verified for the exact model and approved cable specification.
OEM / ODM manufacturing
Custom Reusable SpO₂ Sensor Cable Manufacturing
JYCMED supports interface review, cable construction, connector matching, sample verification and controlled production. Requirements are transferred into an approved drawing or specification before production release.
Quality control
Reusable SpO₂ Cable Production and Verification
- ISO 13485 quality-management production environment
- Incoming cable, connector and component inspection
- Controlled pinout and assembly instructions
- Continuity, resistance and insulation verification
- Visual, dimensional and workmanship inspection
- Production records and lot traceability
Signal accuracy, cleaning compatibility, biological evaluation, MRI use, regulatory classification and finished-device compliance are project-level claims and require applicable validation or approved documentation. Available supplier and quality documents can be reviewed in the JYCMED resources center.
Buyer questions
Reusable SpO₂ Sensor Cable FAQs
What makes a SpO₂ sensor cable reusable?
Reusable status depends on the complete assembly, intended use and validated handling or cleaning instructions. A cable material or connector alone does not establish reusability.
Are reusable SpO₂ sensor cables universally compatible?
No. Monitor model, SpO₂ technology, pin assignment, connector keying, sensor interface and identification components must match the approved system.
Can the connector, cable length and sensor form be customized?
Yes. These elements can be developed to an approved OEM specification after the target interface, electrical requirements and intended application are reviewed.
Can every reusable SpO₂ cable be cleaned with the same disinfectant?
No. The finished-device manufacturer must define and validate the cleaning method for the complete assembly. Material names alone do not establish chemical or process compatibility.
Is a reusable SpO₂ sensor cable suitable for MRI use?
Only when the exact finished assembly and monitoring system have documented MRI-conditional or MRI-compatible status under specified conditions. This cannot be inferred from a generic cable construction.
What information is needed for an OEM reusable SpO₂ cable?
Provide the monitor model, SpO₂ technology, compatible part number, connector drawing or sample, pinout, sensor form, cable dimensions, cleaning requirements, labels and verification criteria.
